Dubai's New Year's Eve celebration was better than yours.
You know how they don't do anything by half in Dubai? Well their New Years party was better than yours. Unless you also had a 'Water, Fire & Light Show' on a man-made lake featuring interactive projections followed by a fireworks display off your 2,700+ foot high tower synchronised to a live performance by the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. No? Didn't think so.
Watched by almost a million people on the streets of the city, the display was probably the most ostentatious use of fireworks to happen over New Year's Eve, what with tickets to the 122nd floor window viewing party going for over $4,000 each. But look, now you can count your coppers and you still get to see it. Happy days.
