Dogs now driving cars Down Under

Down under, everything is different. The water goes the other way, summer and winter are the wrong way round, and now dogs are driving cars.

Sky News reported all the way from from New Zealand about how three dogs in a rescue centre have been trained how to drive a car. Yes, gears and all apparently. Monty, POrter and Ginny, three mutts rescued by Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals were trained by Mark Vette (who clearly was destined to work with animals from birth) in a campaign to try and get more people to choose rescue dogs when buying a new pet. The dog's got all the necessary training, including getting gears in, steering, accelerating and most importantly, braking. Once all that was done, they plonked them in modified Mini Coopers and off the went.  Next phase? Doggie Taxi Service. we'd call it Bone Home.
