Christmas comes via air in Micronesia
Here's some Christmas cheer to warm your heart. In Micronesia, way out in the Pacific Ocean, for the past 60 years the United States Air Force have been dropping aid and Christmas packages to more than 30,000 islanders in what is known as the Christmas Drop. In what is now the longest running humanitarian airlift mission in the world, crews drop multiple packages in what is not only an amazing logistical effort, but also one of the most heartwarming festive activities imaginable.
