A very close encounter with a polar bear
Yes, that is a polar bear pawing at a man in a plastic box. Gordon Buchanan, you are mad and this is terrifying. Having decided to go to the Arctic to follow a polar bear family for three seasons, Buchanan came back with The Polar Bear Family and Me, which you can read more on here in our TV section.
One part of the wildlife cameraman's expedition involved getting in a Perspex portable hut so he can stay warm and film safely while following the bears around the tundra. One bear in particular though has another idea about what's going to happen. The hungry mama bear however smells Buchanan through a hole in his 'Ice Cube' and ignores a viable seal hole in the ice to eat from and makes way for him. This man has a lot of faith in plastic. Jay.
