An Australian man with a highly unusual name has taken to social media to complain about repeatedly being banned from Facebook.

Phuc Dat Bich - whose name is actually pronounced 'Phoo Da Bic' - is a 23-year-old Vietnamese-Australian man. He posted a picture of his passport to Facebook to prove that his name was not made up, saying that "nobody seems to believe me when I say that my full legal name is how you see it”.

Phuc, who works for Bank of Australia, actually complained about being banned from Facebook earlier this year - but his plight has only recently been picked up by media outlets. It looks like his public outburst has done the trick, though - he's still on Facebook at the time of writing.

"I've been accused of using a false and misleading name of which I find very offensive. Is it because I'm Asian? Is it?," he wrote. "Having my fb shut down multiple times and forced to change my name to my "real" name, so just to put it out there. My name. Yours sincerely, Phuc Dat Bich."
