Cold again today, with dry weather in most areas but with a few scattered showers also - these chiefly over Leinster during the morning. The showers generally of rain or sleet, but giving a little snow on mountains. Widespread cloud cover at first, with a mainly frost-free start. Sunshine breaking through in places later this morning or this afternoon. Highest temperatures 3 to 6 C. Light or moderate mainly northeasterly winds.
Tonight:
Cold tonight, and generally dry - only a slight risk of some coastal showers in the east and southeast. Variable cloud cover. Sharp or severe frost developing where skies clear. Light or moderate northeast or variable winds. Lowest temperatures + 1 to - 4 C generally, + 2 to + 4 C on exposed coasts.

Cold and generally dry tomorrow. Variable cloud cover, sunshine in places. Highest temperatures 3 to 6 C.
Outlook:
WEDNESDAY NIGHT, THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY : Remaining cold throughout. Variable cloud cover, sunshine at times. Daytime temperatures 3 to 7 C at best, frost in places each night - occurring widely at times, and becoming severe at times too where skies are clear, with temperatures locally down to - 5 C or below. Patchy fog on some nights also, but not expected to be widespread. Dry throughout in most areas. Small amounts of rain, sleet or snow possible (mainly around Friday or Saturday), with the north, the east and the southeast most at risk. Winds light or moderate, mainly between north and east in direction.
