It is going to stay generally dry and bright this evening with some good spells of sunshine. It will be somewhat cloudier in parts of the south and southwest, with just a chance of a few showers along the coast in the southwest.

Tonight:
It will stay mostly dry throughout the country tonight, with the exception of western coastal counties. In these parts some spots of mist and drizzle are likely along the coast. Elsewhere there will be clear spells and with light winds, patches of mist and fog will develop. A mild night with lowest temperatures ranging from 8 to 12 degrees.

Tomorrow's Weather

Friday 3 September

Friday will be another warm and mostly dry day. It will remain cloudier along the west coast with perhaps a little drizzle in these parts. Elsewhere, it will be brighter with spells of hazy sunshine in particular in Leinster and Ulster. Highest temperatures will climb to between 17 and 22 degrees, with light to moderate southeasterly winds.

Outlook:
Friday night will be mild and dry in most areas. However rain will spread in to southwestern and western areas by daybreak. The rain will spread east to all parts during Saturday, though amounts will be small over Leinster and Ulster. Sunday will be mostly cloudy and breezy. While much of the east and north will remain dry until afternoon, another batch of rain arriving in the west before noon will spread countrywide during Sunday afternoon and evening. This rain will be heavy accompanied by low cloud and mist. Monday will be a cool mostly overcast day with occasional outbreaks of rain - some heavy and prolonged.
