There were very few positives for new films opening at the American box-office this passing weekend, as all three new wide releases opened poorly. Bruce Willis "action" film Surrogates bombed, taking in a measly $15 million off of a hefty $80 million; while the surprisingly enjoyable remake of Fame, did so-so business, coining $10 million. Fame had a budget of only $16 million, and has opened at the top of the UK box-office with $4 million, meaning it's already made back its budget in worldwide gross and should see a solid profit. Other new opening was science fiction flick, Pandorum, which struggled, opening with a paltry $4.6 million. Fame and Surrogates were released here last week, while Pandorum is out on Friday.
