Of saying he wanted to meet Jamie Bolger's killers to his then wife Lisa Marie Presley, Michael said to his good friend Rabbi Shmuley Boteach: "These boys were like 11 and 10-year-old boys and I was going to go to prison and visit them. She said, 'You idiot - you're just rewarding them for what they did'. I said, 'How dare you say that. I bet if you trace their life you can find they didn't have parents around, they didn't have any love, nobody there to hold them, look in their eyes and say I love you. They deserve that even though they're going to get life. I just want to say I love you, and hold them'."

Of his belief he had been bestowed with a "power from God to heal sick kids", Michael said: "I've seen children just shower all over me with love," Jackson said. "They want to just touch me and hug me and completely just hold on and cry and not let go . . . and mothers pick their babies and put them into my arms - 'Touch my baby, and hold them, touch my baby, touch my baby.'"

Of Hitler, he said: "Hitler was a genius orator. To make that many people turn and change and hate, he had to be a showman and he was." When asked: "If you had an hour with Hitler you could somehow touch something inside of him?" Michael replied: "Absolutely. I know I could. You have to help them, give them therapy, teach them that somewhere, something in their life went wrong."

Lastly, when asked if there was a lot of jealousy in his profession, Michael said: "Absolutely. and 'M' is one of them. Madonna."

Rabbi Boteach died of heart failure in June, aged 50. Nine years ago, he recorded in excess of 30 hours of interviews with Jackson.
