Academy 2 will bid a fond farewell to Dublin's 80's kitsch-flavoured monthly club night, Now That's What I Call Music, as DJ Serena Sloane heads for the bright lights of London. Along with DJ Serena Sloane and DJ Sinead DeLorean busting out the tunes and the moves - you will be treated to a very special DJ performance from the much-loved DARK ROOM NOTES. Their debut album 'We Love You Dark Matter' was nominated for a Choice Music Prize. They topped the 'Viewer's Choice' poll on RTÉ for Series 6 of Other Voices. They've released some of the best break-dance inducing singles by an Irish band included amongst them 'Love Like Nicotine' and 'Shake Shake My Ceiling' and worked with hot producer Flood (Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, The Smashing Pumpkins). Re-embrace your 80s child with all the best in kitsch, fromage and the shameful hits from the 80s that you know you love, for the last time at the Academy 2 this Friday June 11th. Free in before 11.30pm, €2.50 before midnight and €5 after.
