Grizzly Bear are coming back to Ireland. Having played a stormer of a show in Dublin's Vicar Street in late 2009, the Brooklyn NY group will be paying a visit to the 'other' capital city for the inaugural Harmonic event, Live @ The Marquee in Cork on 25th June. There'll be stellar support on the night from Midlake, Camera Obscura and Villagers. Grizzly Bear caught a lot of attention with the release of their third album Veckatimest, garnering plaudits from Radiohead to Jay-Z. This performance is a great chance to see four terrific bands, all at a most reasonable price of €35. Get 'em before they sell out!

Former members of The Doors, Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger are coming to Dublin's newest venue The Grand Canal Theatre on 17th July for a special performance with the 50 strong Lombard Philharmonic Orchestra. The concert features orchestra and the full band line-up of Ray Manzarek, Robby Krieger, Brett Scallions and Ty Dennis. A movie about The Doors entitled ‘When You’re Strange’, narrated by Johnny Depp, will be released in April and is sure to spark a resurgence of interest in one of the seminal bands of the 60’s. Tickets are priced at €66.50.

There is no official confirmation on this yet, but many sources are reporting that Bonnie 'Prince' Billy is set to undertake a brief Irish tour this summer. Word on the street suggests that Will Oldham's alter-ego will be performing at Empire Music Hall, Belfast on July 27th, at Whelan's in Dublin on 28th and 29th of July, Roisin Dubh in Galway on the 30th and Cork X Southwest, Skibbereen on July 31st.
