The entire Beatles back catalogue has appeared for sale digitally for the first time on US download site BlueBeat.com.

There have long been rumours that iTunes would be the first to sell downloadable Beatles' music, as soon as they could come to an agreement with the band and their representatives. This has led to speculation that BlueBeat did not in fact gain permission from EMI and Apple Corps to sell the Beatles tracks. Wired.com report that a spokesperson from Apple Corps has said she didn't think that BlueBeat.com had permission to sell the music.

BlueBeat.com are currently selling individual Beatles tracks for 25cents each, as well as streaming full albums an unlimited number of times for free. BlueBeat.com are also the first to sell AC/DC music digitally.

**Updated**

EMI has now taken legal action against BlueBeat.com. Meanwhile, Apple and EMI are to release 30,000 limited edition apple shaped USB drives containing the Beatles full back catalogue remastered in stereo, 13 mini-documentaries, rare photos, replicated original UK album artwork, and other special features.
