Singer Leona Lewis and Charlotte Church have topped the Sunday Times Rich List: Young Music Millionaires aged 30 and under. The top three singers – Lewis, Church and opera singer Katherine Jenkins - all tied for the number one spot with £11 million earnings each last year. Cheryl Cole came in at number four, after seeing the biggest increase in her fortune. Cole's wealth has grown by 150 per cent in the past year, earning her £10 million. The Fight for This Love singer is also the face of L'Oreal Elvive hair-care range and Coca Cola Zero as well as a judge on the hit reality show X Factor, but we could say that Ashley's constant infidelity had something to do with this. Joss Stone and her earnings came in at a very comfortable £9 million, which is £4 million more then Lilly Allen.

Dr Philip Beresford, who compiled the list, claims the statistics prove British women are working harder than ever and no longer need a man to be a success. He told The Sunday Times: "The girls are showing you can make it big if you keep trying. It doesn't matter where you come from. Drive and determination can get you the Hollywood lifestyle."

The highest charting male on the list was Craig David who is worth £8 million (that's a shock, sure what has he been at lately to be worth that much?), putting him at number seven. Beresford added: "Britain's women superstars are showing they have the talent and drive to make it big in their bank balances and they can do it without the support of, or without, husbands/ hangers-on."
