Black attire abound at the world premiere of the Roald Dahl classic Fantastic Mr. Fox in London's Leicester Square last night. It was the chosen colour of almost every garment present, with the exception of Sophie Dahl's dress (and mandatory flats) and director Wes Anderson's shirt.

Jarvis Cocker looked really chuffed to be turning up in grey, while Cindy Crawford, and her near clone (AKA George Clooney's new giddlefriend, Elisabetta Canalis) both opted for long noir numbers. No doubt, just as Elisabetta nonchalantly flashed some thigh, Cindy decided to get involved. George then had to placate his date, saying "Your thighs are much lovelier, mi amore". She was not impressed.

Elisabetta soon cheered up, however, when she realised not all the red carpet fodder were as sophisticated as she. Exhibit A: Jane Goldman (AKA Jonathan Ross's missus), who looked like she was being attacked by brain sucking seaweed / rogue tuft of Ronald McDonald's barnet which has been animated through overexposure to radioactive fat. So transfixed was Elisabetta by Jane's Snake themed hair, she failed to notice Mariella 'I never dated George Clooney, I swear' Frustrup, stealing up the red carpet, on the hunt for the fantastic Mr. Fox.

While George and his fellow voice over 'orteeests' were happy to pose for photos prior to the premiere, it was a slightly different scenario afterwards - when they all pegged it into the after party at top speed. Well, who could blame them; being accosted by stationary (largely jabbing Sharpies), can't be fun.

The only person willing to fraternise with the press was Jennifer Tilly. She did the Can Can while still sitting in her car, before tapdancing her way into the venue, and offering to run her behemoth breasts in to the cupped hands of passers by. Well, that's like the best high five ever. What a gal.

You can hear Mr. Clooney's dulcet tones, and that of Meryl Streep, Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman and a load of other people who Wes Anderson repeatedly insists on working with (including Angelica Houston and Owen Wilson), when Fantastic Mr. Fox hits our cinema screens Friday week.
