A number of new acts have been added to the line up for Tullamore's Castle Palooza festival. As well as headliners Mercury Rev and other previously announced acts, Norman Jay, First Aid Kit, Noelle Scaggs & DJ Scope, Le Galaxie, The Candidates, Scribble Sound System, DJ Baz, Band on an Island, The Dying Seconds and AV Kid will now also play at Charleville Castle over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Meanwhile, organisers have also announced some new features for this year's festival. 'For The Love Of' is is a platform for both emerging and established Irish creative talents to showcase their work together in one accessible and contemporary environment. 'FTLO' works on an open submission basis, and chosen work will be exhibited over the weekend both inside the castle and in the grounds. Elsewhere, Castle Palooza will be running a short film showcase entitled 'Castle Shorties. Submissions must be less than 12 minutes long and if you are selected by our panel of judges your submission will be edited into a feature and screened in the castle on the festival weekend.
