World Cup fever continues, and it seems like almost everyone wants to get in on the action. The latest football anthem to hit the web is a collaboration between Brighton bands British Sea Power and Brakes under the name The Bench Warmers.

The track, entitled 'Football (Kick In It The Goal)', was written by BSP guitarist Martin Noble and Brakes' Eamon Hamilton and Marc Beatty. It also features members of Jonathan Richman tribute act The Modern Ovens.

The music has a Caribbean flavour, taking its inspiration from a calypso song written to commemorate the opening of the Maurice Bishop International Airport in Grenada. The whole thing comes across with an appropriate level of farce for a football song, and it's difficult to dislike any song with the line 'Break out the bubbly, it's big bubbly bath time.'
