Having recently contributed his remarkable vocals to the track 'The Fire' on The Roots latest album 'How I Got Over', soul singer John Legend has once again teamed up with the long running hip hop outfit for an entire new album 'Wake Up!'

The record features a number of new interpretations of songs by classic souls and rhythm & blues artists, as well as one new composition by Legend, 'Shine'. Familiar tracks like 'Wholly Holy' by Marvin Gaye and 'Little Ghetto Boy' by Donny Hathaway are mixed among more obscure selections of Baby Huey and the Babysitters' 'Hard Times,' and 'Hang on in There' by Mike James Kirkland. Legend says, "These songs sound so relevant now. On most of them, you wouldn’t change a lyric."

'Wake Up!' will be release on Sony Music on September 17th, and ahead of that, we've got the Irish exclusive of the new video for lead single 'Wake Up Everybody'. The song features contributions from Melanie Fiona and Common, check it out below.
