*UPDATED* The 26-year-old singer appeared at Milton Keynes Magistrates' Court this morning, where she admitted common assault and disorder - instead of her usual spiel of "I was intimidated in me pumps, they was too tall, so I 'eadbutted 'em. Self defence, innit *scratches self*" The charges were in relation to an incident which took place at the Milton Keynes Theatre in Buckinghamshire on December 19.
Amy went to see a performance of Cinderella (coz her mate woz innit) at the establishment and allegedly heckled the cast before attacking the front-of-house manger Richard Pound *sniggers* - pulling his hair, punching him and kicking him in the groin when he asked her to leave the venue. During the performance, she reportedly screamed out "F**k Cinders, Prince Charming, marry me!", called the Ugly Sisters "b***hes" and made several kids cry by larging it up and down the aisles for over an hour.
Amy answered to her married name, Amy Civil, while in court. WOOOooOoooo. No further details were available at the time of publication. She'll probably just get a slap on a limp wrist before jumping on the next plane bound for somewhere sunny for the next three months to terrorise the locals and infest the island's hotel with a variety of mange.
UPDATE: The judge presiding over the case said: "Mr. Pound is a person whose job involves interaction with the public. If he's assaulted he deserves the court's protection. In this case it's obvious that alcohol played its part. It may be harder than a fine because you have now got to stay on the straight and narrow for the next two years." So, what harsh, harsh punishment did District Judge Peter Crabtree dole out? "She was handed a two-year conditional discharge and made to pay £85 costs and £100 compensation to Pound."
Ooh, yeah, that'll learn her.
