The nominations for the 52nd annual Grammy Awards have been revealed. Beyoncé dominates this year's nominations with her name in a total of ten categories including the three top awards Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of The Year. Her main competition in those categories comes from young country starlet Taylor Swift, who also bagged a total of eight nominations. Let's hope Kanye doesn't have anything to say about that this time. Speaking of Kanye West, he received six nominations himself, as did The Black Eyed Peas and Maxwell.

Meanwhile, U2 are up against Greenday and AC/DC for Best Rock Album, Yeah Yeah Yeahs are in competition with Depeche Mode and David Byrne and Brian Eno for Best Alternative Music Album and Lady GaGa somehow made it into the Best Dance/Electronic Album category against the Pet Shop Boys and David Guetta.
