It's official; the internet is the way forward for young filmmakers looking to have their latest digitally assembled opus viewed by the masses. Sites like Funnyordie.com and collegehumur.com have made a business out of short comedy sketches, with some of the uploaded videos totalling views in the millions. Sure, it helps if Will Ferrell appears in your net short, but the A-list aren't always needed.

Proof of this can be found in the form of Two Tube presenter Stephen Byrne, who is nearing 60,000 subscribers on Youtube and 15,000 followers on Twitter; while he already has over 8,000 fans on facebook - not bad for a chap still a couple of months shy of his 20th Birthday. Stephen's videos appear under the moniker, 3sixtyfive, and that, as well as his online work with Red Apartment on RTE's website, are what bagged him the high profile presenting gig.

New Irish production company Half A Giraffe just released their first short, Imperfect Couple, starring Sonya Kelly and Emmet Scanlan. The newly formed company blends writers and actors, who all have creative input into proposed productions. You can see Imperfect Couples below, and visit their website over yonder.
