When Jonah Hill was announced as the man who would pen, produce and star in a feature version of the enjoyable Johnny Depp starring TV series, 21 Jump Street, many expected a parody along the same lines of Starsky and Hutch. Not so says the comedic actor to Comingsoon.net:

"It's a comedy with really cool action. We're not doing something serious like Miami Vice. But it's not a parody. It's a funny movie with a lot of great action and a real story. I've been saying that it's like a John Hughes movie with Bad Boys style action" said the actor.

Last we heard Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs helmers Phil Lord and Chris Miller were directing. I really can't see Jonah Hill doing that open-shirt, slow motion run to save his partner thing from Bad Boys. That said, it would be funny...
