... um. A handstand? Or sob uncontrollably, wondering where it all went wrong.

Evidently, this is what happens when you leave yourselves in the managerial mitts of Louis Walsh; first you blow (i.e. star in a TV ad for Abrakebabra) and then you suck (i.e. star in an online ad for Shake 'n Vac).

The following comes from Digital Spy: "Born more than a decade after the commercial was first released in 1980, and unfamiliar with the original jingle, they nonetheless insisted the carpet freshener played a significant part in the Grimes household during their early years. Bouncing down Dean Street, central London, sprinkling the cleaning powder, Jedward said: 'It's a lot of fun (littering the streets or sucking dirt up off the carpet?) - that's what we are all about (littering the streets or sucking dirt up off the carpet?). It's a really iconic advert. When we were younger we would use this stuff - we used to clean the stairs. We had five dogs and we would let them in the house and it would smell bad and then we would use Shake n' Vac and it would make the carpet smell nice... We did way more cleaning than our mum - we had to do it'." Otherwise we'd bounce off the walls for hours on end, interfere with the five hounds and generally drive mum BATS.

The Sun adds: "The Dublin lads were ridiculed on X Factor but their bouncy performances made them a cult hit with viewers. They were then ditched by record label Sony after debut single Under Pressure flopped. They were joined for the internet ad - online from May 20 - by actress Jenny Logan, who played the original jingle-singing housewife. She is leading a nationwide search to find the best new Shake n' Vac dance. She said: 'Being a part of the Glade Shake n' Vac ad was such a fun experience. People still come up to me today. I am thrilled to be bringing the dance back to the nation and excited to (RANDOMLY) partner Jedward'."
