Star Trek leading man Chris Pine is in advanced negotiations to star as master counterfeiter Art Williams, in the film The Art of Making Money. According to Variety, Eagle Eye and Disturbia helmer DJ Caruso will direct the flick, which chronicles the real life rise of Williams from petty thief, to loaded wrong sort. The film is based on a 2005 Rolling Stone article by Jason Kersten, who then penned the book on which the movie will be based, The Art of Making Money: The Story of a Master Counterfeiter. Caruso is apparently being sought after for a number of projects, but with his and Pine's names attached to this, expect things to move quickly.
