Following the release of his debut solo album, 'Phrazes for the Young' on Friday, Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas has revealed plans to release a Christmas single.
Casablancas told NME.com that he will release a cover of 'I Wish It Was Christmas Today', a song that first appeared on Saturday Night Live.
"It was a fun thing to do. Everyone seems to do a Christmas song at some point, so I always said to myself I'd do that song."
'I Wish It Was Christmas Today' will be released as a digital download and limited edition 7" single in December. Casablancas is set to play The Academy, Dublin, on December 14th.
