Sting is to bring his 'Symphonicity' tour to Dublin this October. The veteran rocker will play The O2 on October 7th, accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. As part of the tour, which kicks off in Vancouver today, Sting will re-arrange some of his best known hits for the Orchestra, which will be conducted by Maestro Steven Mercurio, who is known for working with greats like Pavarotti and Bocelli. Tickets priced €56.30 are on sale now.

In another of today's gig announcements, the John Butler Trio will return to Dublin following their sold out Olympia show in April. The Aussie trio will play a fully seated show at the new Grand Canal Theatre on the same day, Thursday October 7th. Tickets priced €32.50 go on sale next Wednesday June 9th at 9am.
