We here hold Zach Galifianakis personally responsible for bringing the beard trend back, even if nobody else does. All those guys preparing for months to dress up as his character from The Hangover for Halloween? Telling you, we're on to something.

You will have many a chance to see Zach and his beard on your screens soon though as the star is returning to TV for a brand new comedy called Baskets, which is co-created by himself, Louis CK and Jonathan Krisel. It tells the story of a man called Chip Baskets, who is pursuing his lifelong dream to become a professional clown - sounds right up Zach's street.

However things don't exactly go to plan for Baskets when clown school in Paris doesn't work out and he finds himself working with the local rodeo. Well that doesn't sound ALL bad...

This is Zach's first return to TV since his role on HBO's Bored to Death, of which he spent three seasons on, and before his breakout role in The Hangover he appeared as a series regular in Tru Calling, which we had TOTALLY forgotten about. Look there he now in an actual lab coat with Faith from Buffy.

Production will only begin next year so we won't actually get a look at this show until 2016, but with the creative team of Louis CK, Galifianakis and Krisel on boards, this will definitely be one to look out for.
