The IFTA TV Awards took place last night and showcased the brightest and best of Irish talent on our screens, with some truly deserving people getting their dues from their peers.

As well as this, it was also host to what's arguably one of the most enjoyable moments in recent IFTA history - a cardboard cut-out of Derry Girls alum Nicola Coughlan - WHO IS 31 BY THE WAY - being proudly brought on stage to receive said IFTA.

According to tweets from Coughlan herself, the actor was in rehearsals that evening and was unable to attend. Rather than miss the big moment with her cast, they fashioned a cut-out not unlike the one Greta Gerwig had of Agnes Varda at this year's Oscars. Just to top things all off for the Derry Girls, the show won Best Comedy and Lisa McGee won Best Writer Comedy / Soap.

Not bad, hi? You can read the full list of winners from last night's awards here.
