While the jury is apparently still out on Louis Walsh returning to the singing competition, it seems one judge is definitely not coming back as reports are saying that Mel B has been axed from the upcoming season of the show.
The Sun has reported that ITV bosses are actively seeking a replacement for the former Spice Girl and it's thought it could be down to her missing one of the final shows of the season last year. Eh, wasn't she sick? Jeez.
There's a few names in the running to replace Mel, including former judges Tulisa and Nicole Scherzinger, even Kim Kardashian's name has been thrown in the mix. You know, because of her extensive music knowledge and whatnot.
It's been reported that Simon Cowell and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini will definitely be returning to the show, and it seems that while many of the ITV bosses want to drop Louis Walsh, Cowell would like to keep him on as he has grabbed many a headline for them in the past.
The show is planning a major revamp this series after a drop in ratings in recent years, which as we know will include two new hosts - Olly Murs and Caroline Flack.
Hopefully there will be no babies thrown out with all this bath water though...
