While it definitely has it moments, it does seem as though they were taking a victory lap - and reusing some jokes - with this week's sketch.
Last week's sketch with Melissa McCarthy as Sean Spicer was a shock, as it wasn't announced beforehand and people almost didn't clock it was McCarthy until she started speaking. This time around, the audience in-studio was prepared.
As well as taking aim at the fact that Trump is watching SNL and telling Spicer to calm down, McCarthy took a few swipes at Ivanka Trump and Nordstrom and the confirmation of Jeff Sessions, played by Kate McKinnon in drag.
Also, shout-out to whoever thought up the segway podium thing because that's genius.
