Based on Guy Ritche’s 2000 film of the same film (which infamously starred Brad Pitt as an Irish traveller), Snatch has been one of this year’s most anticipated TV shows.
Made for Sony's streaming network Crackle, it focuses on a group of hustlers who get embroiled in the world of organised crime upon discovering a truckload of stolen gold bullion.
It stars Harry Potter’s Rupert Grint alongside Skins star Luke Pasqualino, Waterloo Road's Lucien Laviscount, Hustle actor Marc Warren and Ed Westwick of Chalet Girl and Gossip Girl fame.
The dialogue and VO narration is certainly in keeping with the tone of the original, but will they be able to capture the adrenaline-pumping, bloody action and quick-witted, dark humour of the cult classic? Only time will tell.
