Watch: Here's your first look at Kit Harington and Liv Tyler in BBC's 'Gunpowder'

If you've been missing the smouldering glares of Kit Harington post-'Game of Thrones', 'Gunpowder' is here to fill the Jon Snow-shaped hole in your life.

The new BBC three-part drama is set to focus on the real drama behind Britain's Guy Fawkes Day and reveal what went down in the Gunpowder Plot in London in 1605 which saw Robert Catesby conspire to blow up Parliament.

Starring Kit Harington, Peter Mullan, Mark Gatiss and Liv Tyler, 'Gunpowder' looks set to be every part the period drama but filled with explosive (sorry) action along the way, as well as plenty of 'Game of Thrones' style spying and treachery.

'Gunpowder' is expected on BBC One this November, with an exact air date to be announced.
