Alright, look, we know they're not real.

Nevertheless, this is actually somewhat heartbreaking. As you may have heard, Muppets had returned to television for a fly-on-the-wall style series that... well... wasn't great, to be honest. It had its moments, sure, but it just wasn't for audiences and was summarily cancelled earlier this week along with a rake of other shows.

In fact, many are calling this year's TV cancellations among the most brutal in recent memory - Muppets being one of them. While they're not actually actors, we still feel pretty bad for Kermit, Fozzie Bear, Rizzo The Rat, Miss Piggy and all of the Muppets.

What makes it worse that it appears Fozzie Bear wasn't actually aware that the show had been cancelled, as evidenced by this little skit at Vulture Festival in LA.

Take a look.

Like we said, heartbreaking.

Poor 'ol Fozzie Bear. He just can't catch a break.
