Allison Williams of Girls fame joined Ellen for a chat on her show recently about life as a star of one of the biggest TV shows going at the moment, as well as what her parents think of all that sexy time the ladies do be having.

Allison's dad Brian Williams is actually fairly well known in America, as he is an NBC news anchor. So what does dad think of her scenes? Well they never quite pictured this show as the first thing she'd do, she tells Ellen, as it emerges that Girls was actually the first audition she went for as an actress. Landed on her feet there!

She told Ellen how she went out to LA and tried her luck there first to no avail - many tears on the beach and what not. So when this came up, she hightailed it back to New York to give it a go, and sure the rest is history. The reason she was later getting into the acting game she says, was that her parents insisted she finish college first. To get around this though, she used to work as production assistant on film sets, even working with Woody Harrelson along the way!

Fair to say from watching this, Allison seems SOUND out, and thankfully a lot less uptight than her character Marnie, although that wouldn't be difficult.
