We don't know why this trailer is animated but given the all round anticipation for the new series of The X Files, we will take what we can get.
As you have probably heard already, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are reprising their roles as the iconic Mulder and Scully for a new series of the hit nineties TV show.
