Bill Hader returned to SNL last night and broke out a few old favourites, including Stefon on Weekend Update and his pitch-perfect Alan Alda impression.

Really, if you turned your back to the screen or closed your eyes, you'd actually believe it's Alan Alda. The Al Pacino is also incredible. Meanwhile, you've got Kate McKinnon doing '90s Ellen DeGeneres and an also pitch-perfect Jodie Foster in there too, and a very good Hugh Grant from Beck Bennett.

In a lot of ways, this and a few other sketches reminds us all of a time when SNL wasn't all about the political stuff. Granted, it's all so ripe for comedy, but it's nice to see stuff that doesn't have a topical edge for a change.

Take a look.
