It was announced last night in a BBC press release that the long-running sci-fi series, Doctor Who, has cast its villain for the new series. Keeley Hawes, who's previously starred in the remake of Upstairs Downstairs and cult favourite Ashes To Ashes, will be playing Ms. Delphox. The character's been described by showrunner Steven Moffat as "the greatest villainy yet attempted on Doctor Who - she plays a banker."

We hate her already.

In other Whovian news, Mark Gatiss AKA Mycroft from Sherlock has apparently read the script for the new season and has said that Peter Capaldi's first episode is "thrilling."

The new season of Doctor Who is expected in September on BBC.
