Although they're mostly known for their work with David Fincher on the likes of Gone Girl or The Social Network, Atticus Ross and Trent Reznor are now spreading their wings into documentary work.

The Vietnam War, directed by renowned documentarians Ken Burns and Lynn Novick, focuses on both sides of the war with witness accounts from both North Vietnamese survivors and American POWs in the region at the time.

It's heavy stuff, to say the least, and made all the more so by Reznor and Ross' expressive soundtrack. There's no word yet on whether or not the documentary will be screened theatrically, but there's a good chance it'll turn up on Netflix as is the case with most PBS documentaries.
