It's been another year where TV has once more raised the bar and delivered some quality drama with star-studded casts and stellar performances. The Emmys for TV land are what the Academy Awards are to the movie world, so obviously bagging one of these bad boys is no small feat to the stars and shows nominated.

Dominating this year's nominees is Game of Thrones with an impressive 24 nominations (a lot of which are in the Creative Arts Emmys nominations) including one for Drama Series as well as supporting actor nominees for Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey and Emilia Clarke.

Mad Men also left its mark after its final season while also featuring on the list are House of Cards, Homeland, Better Call Saul, Parks and Recreation, Modern Family and Orange is the New Black.

This year's awards will take place on September 20th and will be hosted by Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Andy Samberg.
