Although it lasted for just three seasons, there's obviously enough good-will out there for Roswell that it's now gotten itself a reboot and has been ordered to series by CW.

The new series, which has a slight alteration in its title, follows the same basic premise of the early '00s series and sees aliens and romance hiding in plain sight. The CW's synopsis goes into further detail on the whole alien-hiding thing:

After reluctantly returning to her tourist-trap hometown of Roswell, New Mexico, the daughter of undocumented immigrants discovers a shocking truth about her teenage crush who is now a police officer: he's an alien who has kept his unearthly abilities hidden his entire life.

She protects his secret as the two reconnect and begin to investigate his origins, but when a violent attack and long-standing government cover-up point to a greater alien presence on Earth, the politics of fear and hatred threaten to expose him and destroy their deepening romance.

As it stands currently, none of the original cast - which included Katherine Heigl and Die Hard 2 alum William Sadler - have been announced for the reboot and it seems unlikely that they'll return. No air date has set for the Roswell reboot as of yet.
