The weekend is here once more and while we all may have thought this island of ours was edging closer and closer to the Arctic circle last week, there's definitely more of a feeling of spring in the air now, so you could go outside and lap up all the fresh air there is to offer if you want. However, we wouldn't chance it, so get the feet up and have a gander at all of this weekend's TV highlights...

FRIDAY

The Graham Norton Show Comic Relief Special
BBC1: 10:35pm

There's a special edition of the Graham Norton Show tonight as the show celebrates the 30th anniversary of Comic Relief. There will be guaranteed laughs to be had as Graham is joined by comedians Jennifer Saunders, David Walliams, Jack Dee and Johnny Vegas, as well as Cheryl Fernandez-Versini (that last name still won't stay in our minds). So far it's looking like the biennial fundraising extravaganza will exceed the £1billion mark this year, with the main event taking place next Friday on BBC meaning we will have to wait another couple weeks for more Grahamo.

The Late Late Show
RTE1: 9.35pm

There is actually quite an impressive lineup on The Late Late this week, you may know who everybody is and all! First up, we'll have renowned British journalist and broadcaster Piers Morgan chatting to Ryan - will be funny to see him in the interviewee chair for once. Hopefully Ryan will find a way of making him well up like Piers does with his guests. Also on the show, the legend that is Katie Taylor will be in! The Olympic champion will be chatting to Ryan about her car insurance plan... okay, no she won't, but man, are we sick of that ad. As well as her good self, Great British Bake Off judge Mary Berry will be in for the chats. So there you have it, not bad 'ey?

Crufts 2015
Channel 4: 7:30pm

Dog lovers rejoice, Crufts 2015 is here! Clare Balding presents highlights from the second day of the world's largest dog show, held at the NEC in Birmingham. Today's programme includes the continuation of the Agility and Flyball competitions, an interview with the owner of the Scruffs winner, and the judging of the Working and Pastoral groups. Plus, a panel of experts and owners discuss vulnerable breeds. May not be of interest to everyone but sure who doesn't love cute dogs?

SATURDAY

The Following
Sky Atlantic: 9.00pm

Season three of this crime thriller returns starring the man that we are always trying to find six degrees of separation from, Mr Kevin Bacon. Funnily enough, this series comes from the mind that brought us Dawson's Creek and Vampire Diaries as Kevin Williamson is the series creator, although he has stepped down in showrunning duties for this season as Jennifer Johnson (Chase, Cold Case, Lost) takes over. For those that haven't seen it, the show is about an FBI agent's attempts to deal with a serial killer and his murderous cult. Although we return to the series with cult leader Joe Carroll on death row, with all signs of his following seemingly erased. Ryan Hardy (Bacon) now seems happy enough with life, but no doubt that won't last for long...

Take Me Out
UTV: 8.25pm

There's a special extended edition of Take Me Out this Saturday to mark the last episode in the series and to make sure they match up as many of those single folk as physically possible! There will be four lads vying for the attention of the thirty ladies tonight as hotel receptionist Lesie, Alan the plumber, construction worker Cole and an actual honest-to-God model called Pete all take centre stage. Here's hoping they provide many the cringetastic moment.

Film: Law Abiding Citizen
TV3: 10.00pm

Gerard Butler and Jamie Foxx star in this violent revenge thriller with lots and lots of explosions. Butler plays a mild-mannered engineer whose wife and child are brutally murdered by home invaders. When the legal system utterly fails to punish them to Butler's standards, he sets out to right this wrong. Oh, did we mention he was also a CIA agent who knows how to kill people with phones and bombs? Yeah, that's kinda important. Also, keep an eye out for House of Cards' Doug Stamper in a little cameo role. We love that guy.

SUNDAY

Meteor Choice Music Prize
RTE2: 10.50pm

The Irish equivalent of the Mercury Prize, the Choice Music Awards have produced many the worthy yet often unpredictable winners down the years, and this year was no exception. The event, which took place last Thursday night in Vicar Street, saw modern trad supergroup The Gloaming claim the prize, with stiff competition from the likes of U2, Sinead O'Connor, Damien Rice and Hozier. While The Script managed to bag song of the year off the public vote for their single 'Superheroes'. Eoghan McDermott and Blathnaid Treacy will present highlights of the event on Sunday night which features interviews with Hozier and Sinead O'Connor as well as performances by Delorentos, We Cut Corners and a stunning set from James Vincent McMorrow.

American Crime
RTE2: 9.55pm

Felicity Huffman proves yet again that she is far more than a Desperate Housewife as she stars in this brand new crime drama alongside Oscar winning actor Timothy Hutton. The show follows the aftermath of a racially-charged murder in a Californian city and subsequent trial, with the story told from the points of views of all involved. The show ultimately takes a look at the preconceptions that exist in American society, and indeed all over the world, on faith, family, gender, race and class.

Poldark
BBC1: 9.00pm

Irish actor Aidan Turner stars in this brand new period drama for the BBC based on the novels by Winston Graham which was also adapted into a famous TV series in the seventies too. Set in late 18th-century Cornwall, Ross Poldark joins the army to avoid charges of smuggling, leaving behind his lovely lady Elizabeth. He returns three years later after the American War of Independence and finds things aren't quite as he left them. His father has died, his estate is in ruins and young Elizabeth is engaged to another man. Bummer, ey? He decides he needs a bit of help around the place and takes on a new kitchen maid after rescuing her from a beating, but this does NOT go down well with the locals...
