Last night saw the return of The Voice UK (which is now on ITV) and the premiere of Let It Shine (which took its place on BBC).
Overnight ratings have confirmed that Let It Shine won out, however The Voice UK began with its lowest ratings since inception. So, what does it all mean? Well, pretty much everyone is sick of talent shows on a Saturday night. That's the gist, really.
Moreover, the sentiment out on Twitter for Let It Shine seemed to run the gamut between 40-something women who were obsessed with Gary Barlow and, well, everyone being slightly confused by the format. Do they all get through? Is it a musical they're auditioning for? Why is Graham Norton involved?
In any case, Twitter was looking pretty bleak for Let It Shine. Take a look.
