It's been making waves on Twitter and across the world this week, but just days after Sharknado blasted on to Irish TV screens, fans on this side of the Atlantic have cause for celebration: SyFy has finally found a name for the sequel, and my, is it an interesting one...

Sharknado 2: The Second One (yes, they're deadly serious, fans on Twitter picked it) will make its way to our TV screens in 2014, although we aren't quite sure what to expect from it yet. Granted, there'll be another freak storm, and a few more flying sharks, but what we really want to know is, will Ian Ziering be back with his chainsaw? The man did jump into the belly of a shark after all...

There's been no official confirmation of castings just yet, although execs are expected to bring back the former 90210 star, and of course, Tara Reid. She broke the hearts of millions of Jedheads this week when she tweeted news of castings for the Irish twins. Sure didn't John and Edward retweet her, and take to their own account to express their excitement about their first big movie roles, before she went and took the whole thing back, saying it had just been an idea. Oh dear.

Producer David Latt says nothing about the sequel is set in stone just yet, and added that the possibilites for the tale were endless. "We talked the storyline through, and there are no restrictions" he told Entertainment Weekly's TV Insider. "So, it could be the family that goes over, it could be a prequel before Ian [Ziering]'s family was involved in it. It could be ten years in the future."

Either way, we're sure there'll be plenty of sharks involved, although Tara Reid did say something about dinosaurs...
