Another day, another 'Strictly Come Dancing' contestant announcement.

It was revealed on 'Loose Women' today that Blue singer and 'EastEnders' actor Lee Ryan is the latest star to join the lineup.

In a statement released by the BBC, Lee said: "I'm so excited to be joining this year’s line-up. It is a real honour for me and I can’t wait to get out on the dance floor."

Lee revealed that it was watching his former band mate Simon Webbe, who reached the 2014 'Strictly' final, that inspired him to go on the show: "I think just watching Simon and his transformation, that was what was really important," he told the 'Loose Women' panel.

"He went in there and didn’t know what he was doing but he learned."

Lee has been trying to get himself in shape for the show too, revealing he was on a strict diet regime and has been boxing a lot to try get his weight down.

Lee will join previously announced contestants TV presenter Katie Piper, Steps singer Faye Tozer, Red Dwarf actor Danny John-Jules, YouTuber Joe Sugg, Capital FM DJ Vick Hope, England cricketer Graeme Swann, ITV's This Morning's resident doctor Ranj Singh, TV presenter Stacey Dooley, The Pussycat Dolls Ashley Roberts as well as journalist Kate Silverton and comedian Seann Walsh.

'Strictly Come Dancing' returns to BBC One this autumn.
