FYI Netflix fans... You know how you've been paying €6.99 a month to fulfil your binge-watching needs? Well, news is circulating that prices are going up. You can seek solace in the knowledge that they're not due to go up "this quarter", but there are plans to hike prices "in the very near future" and prices "will increase over the next decade."

Netflix CEO Reed Hastings said of the increases: "We want to take it very slow. Over the next decade I think we'll be able to add more content and have more value and then price that appropriately..."

In more cryptic happenings, Hastings added: "We also want to motivate people to move up to the two-stream and the high-def and the ultra-high-def [plans]", which some outlets - like Marie Claire - are reading as "chances are it'll be to crack down on people with the basic plan who are sharing their password with the fam."

First they get you hooked. Then they raise the stakes. There's only one thing for it - binge-watching solidly for the next three to four months straight.
