It's been widely known for some time now that Irish writer and actress Sharon Horgan had been brought in as writer for Sarah Jessica's Parker's new comedy pilot, and it's great news for both the Catastrophe star and SJP as the show has been picked up for a full series by HBO.

Set in New York, the show called 'Divorce' will follow a woman called Frances (Parker) who starts to re-think her whole marriage and life essentially, and decides to make a fresh start. The series will mark Sarah Jessica Parker's first return to TV and HBO in ten years. (Yes, it's been a DECADE since Sex and the City ended.)

Sharon Horgan is most recently known for her popular Channel 4 series, Catastrophe, which she wrote and starred in alongside Rob Delaney (it's also recently been renewed for a second season). She has a whole host of credits to her name though including TV shows Pulling, Bad Management and Dead Boss.

This will also mark HBO's third comedy series with female leads, including Veep and Girls, while there's also talk of a comedy pilot with Sarah Silverman.

And how cool is that we'll have an Irish writer behind a mother truckin' HBO series?!

Very cool, folks. Very cool indeed.
