Exactly one week after Rodrigo Alves was removed from 'Celebrity Big Brother' following controversy surrounding racist remarks, 'Emmerdale' actor Roxanne Pallett has left the reality TV show.

In a short tweet from the official account for 'Celebrity Big Brother', it stated that Pallett has "decided to leave the Big Brother house" and gave no further explanation. To say the last few days have been controversial for Pallett is putting it mildly.

Pallett accused fellow housemate Ryan Thomas of striking her during a play-fight and demanded he leave the house, which eventually led to Thomas being formally warned by Big Brother. The incident was widely criticised and led to over 11,000 complaints being lodged with Ofcom.

After Ben Jardine - who took Pallett's side in the incident - was evicted from the house, he then admitted he felt duped by Pallett after seeing footage of the incident itself. "When I've taken it up on my shoulders, it really messed me up… I'm looking at the little lady next to me. She's shaken and petrified. I'm thinking, that's not right!"

Jardine later spoke on 'Bit On The Side', saying that his newfound distrust of Pallett was "poisonous." Pallett has released no statement as of writing and has since deleted her Twitter account.
