Following the news that Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger won't be returning as 'X Factor' judges, and Sharon Osbourne will only be there for the live shows, Simon Cowell now has a few seats to fill for the upcoming series.

If reports are to be believed, he is currently eyeing up Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda Field. A source told The Daily Mirror that producers on the show are "over the moon" that the singer and actress-turned-Loose Women panellist are set to join the judging panel in what's said to be a £10m deal.

Robbie and Simon go back a long way together and the former Take That member has previously been on the show alongside Cowell for Judges House. Ayda, who began her career on US soap 'Days of Our Lives', is close to Simon’s girlfriend Lauren Silverman while the couples children are also pals.

ITV have yet to confirm this but it sounds pretty likely.

Amelia Brown, Managing Director of Thames TV, said last week: "This is the start of a new era for 'The X Factor'. I am really excited about all the ideas we have for the coming series including, of course, the new judging panel."

No air date for the new season has been announced yet but it will likely be August.
