From 2000, the amount of television shows seemed to explode over a matter of a few years.
The likes of US studios like HBO, AMC and FX began putting many of their shows onto the likes of Netflix and international deals meant that people all over the world began to see the likes of 'The Sopranos', 'The Wire' and 'How I Met Your Mother' appearing on their screens. These 2000s TV shows are still returned to lovingly.
Many consider it to be the golden age of television, something we're still currently experiencing with the likes of 'Game of Thrones' (well, other than that last season) and 'Westworld' being a continuation of shows like 'Band of Brothers' in terms of scale.
