Stranger Things is one of Netflix's most surprising success stories, scooping up a SAG award only last week and firmly ingraining itself in pop culture.

Although details are sketchy on what actually happens in the upcoming second season, Netflix are nonetheless beginning to drop hints on what's coming. The first image from the second season made its way online late last night, and also confirmation that the first trailer for the second season will air during Superbowl LI.

So, what can we wildly speculate from the image? Not a whole lot, to be honest. Other than the fact that Ghostbusters is just damn brilliant and anyone who says otherwise is a foolish fool. As well as this, it's also been confirmed what role Sean Astin - he of Lord of the Rings fame (and also The Goonies as well) - will play. According to David Harbour, who plays Chief Hopper, Astin will play Winona Ryder's new boyfriend - "much to the chagrin to the Chief of Police," Harbour explained.

No release date has been set, but it's likely it'll be announced alongside the first trailer for the second season.
