In case you haven't heard about it yet, The Young Pope is a new eight-part series on its way to Sky and HBO about a fictional American-born pope called Pope Pius XIII, played by Jude Law.
Yeah... Jude Law as pope? We're not sure if we're buying it either but HBO rarely lets us down in fairness. It also stars the legend that is Diane Keaton in what is her first regular role for TV. The Oscar-winning actress is set to play an American nun living in the Vatican City.
The first official image has been released below and it definitely looks like Jude Law is taking the gig in his stride, although he is all decked out in the pontiff attire of traditional 'house dress' of white garments fringed with gold and a cappello romano hat.
