Ryan Murphy has found his Donatella Versace for season three of American Crime Story and it's not Lady Gaga as had been previously rumoured.
Penelope Cruz is set to make her first foray into American television by playing Versace in the series which will focus on the assassination of her brother, Gianni.
The Oscar winner is by far the biggest name to be added to the cast so far. It's already been announced that Hands of Stone star Édgar Ramírez will play Gianni, who founded the Versace fashion empire. While former Glee star, Darren Criss, will be playing Gianni's assassin, Andrew Cunanan.
Although production is set to begin next month, the series won't reach our screens until 2018. We still have season two of the show to air before then which of course will focus on Hurricane Katrina. Annette Benning is set to star in that as Louisiana Governer, Kathleen Blanco.
